Edith Jones
After 51 years living beside the river in Bicton, it was time
for the sprightly Edith Jones to downsize.
“I remember saying to my children: I’m fine going to a
retirement village, I just wish they built them beside the
river”.
Not long after, Edith discovered Riverside Salter Point.
“It’s been such a blessing - the timing on everything has
been perfect. The house in Bicton sold before it even went
onto the market and the transition has been so smooth.
I couldn’t be happier.
Every morning I wake up and
enjoy the view all over again. My whole family love it too,
albeit with a tinge of envy!
I reflect on the richness of the
experiences I’ve had right through my life and I consider
this the next exciting chapter. There’s plenty of life to enjoy
here and the river is just a part of that,” Edith said.
Edith enjoys some of the best views
from Deepwater Point around to
the city skyline from her top floor
apartment.
It’s not surprising the family
can’t stay away. Nor that she can’t
contain her lavish recommendation of
Riverside to anyone ready to move.
Jacqui Stewart
Jacqui Stewart had never even
entertained the possibility of moving
from her Salter Point home but after
her husband passed away a number of
years ago and she found the garden
difficult to manage, she started looking
at other options.
“Riverside wasn’t the
first place I looked,
but as soon as I
heard about it and
saw the plans,
I made up my
mind,” said Jacqui.
“I was a bit apprehensive at first but now
I’m looking forward to being free of the
responsibility of maintaining a garden
and not having to worry about things
breaking down.
I’m also looking forward
to my book club meeting on the balcony
and enjoying the view together.”
